Founded and ran by Lisa Lillien, a journalist and media executive, Hungry Girl, its websites and companion books have swiftly become one of the most recognizable brands in the US healthy eating market. The collection of books in particular are some of the most popular available on the market, with this instalment, ‘Hungry Girl 1-2-3’, debuting at No.1 on the New York Bestsellers list. Considering the books in this series have such a huge cult following, it’s no surprise that ‘Hungry Girl 1-2-3’ is one of the best books we have come across in this category. With a range of great recipes and guidance on how to make simple changes to improve recipes you already follow, this book is a must-have for anyone who wants to lose weight without necessarily following a strict eating and meal plan. That said, if you liked the recipes in the book, it would be easy to create your own meal plans to see great results.
